UFC 140 COUNTDOWN SPECIAL

What is it about Jon Jones that makes him seem so unbeatable?

Is it the 84.5 inch reach?  Is is the fact that his wrestling ability seems to make even the most accomplished grapplers seem amateurish at best?  Is it possibly the fact that every time he steps in the Octagon he looks better than the last time we saw him?

Whatever the reason, Jon Jones has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with at Light Heavyweight.  Even so, looming in the shadows, waiting to take back the belt is the last man that MMA pundits regarded as unbeatable.  None other than the former Light Heavyweight Champion himself, Lyoto Machida.

While the "Machida Era" was short lived and not nearly as impressive as some may have imagined, the body of work put together by "The Dragon" until his demise at the hands of Mauricio Rua was impressive by any standard.  Machida may very well prove to be the sternest test of Jones' still very young career.

UFC 140 will air live from Toronto, Canada on 12/10/11.
